Artisan Crafts Chat Room


The Artisan Craft Community is open to all artisans, from beginners to advanced, working in any media. The purpose of this club/community is to showcase our work, share tips and thoughts - to improve our skills and creativity and to get to know each other better. The goal is to achieve a higher level of design and craftsmanship, therefore support, cheering and encouraging from the members and the club is greatly appreciated.
The Chat Room was set up by Myana – Gallery Director of artisan Crafts. The Chat room promotes community awareness in lots of different ways, for example by letting artisans keep in touch with each other in a friendly and welcoming manner.
The Chat Room is used by artisans to meet new people, to share ideas and pick other artisan’s brains to ask for advice/ help on matters concerning DA or their craft. Finding out about how other artisans work can be of great interest and benefit to your own work. It is a nice way of sharing information, promoting and talking about your work, as well as staying in touch with what is happening in the DA and especially the Artisan Crafts Community. The Chat Room also promotes friendly banter and chats that might have nothing to do with arts or crafts but are equally important to the community spirit. It helps you to get to know the people behind the work you see in their gallery and it might hopefully give you an insight into the talented and interesting people behind the great works we see in their galleries.
On Saturday there is a weekly get together in the Chat room, where as many artisans as possible try and log in during the day to have a chat. I like to use this opportunity to invite everybody to this weekly meet on behalf of all the artisans that already log in every Saturday.
